Everybody, take a deep breath. We’re almost halfway through December which means one of the busiest years in video games is nearly over. No more major releases between now and the end of the year, giving you a chance to catch up with everything you’ve missed for the next month or so before starting over in 2024. If you’re already all caught up, good for you. Not only because that’s impressive, but also because you now have some pretty great games to choose from for next to nothing when mulling over what to play over the holidays.
EAgames are on sale through the Xbox Store right now, and this is no ordinary sale. As highlighted byMauroNL, someEAtitles are as much as 95 percent off onXboxright now. That means games like Battlefield 4 andNFS Heatare just $2.99. Particularly impressive when it comes to Need for Speed since it usually costs $59.99. No, they weren’t Game of the Year contenders when released, but come on, they’re still pretty great and relatively new games. Worth $3 considering how much time you’ll likely spend playing them.

Need for Speed Heat
WHERE TO PLAY
The Need For Speed series returns to the streets in NFS Heat. Compete in above-board races during the day, and then far less cochere competitions at night as you attempt to build rep and cash.
If you’ve got a little bit more to spend and want something newer,Battlefield 2042is also included in Xbox’s EA sale. Just $11.99, so 80 percent less than the $59.99 it’s usually sold for. Still not new enough? Okay, you’ve twisted my arm.Immortals of Aveum, the game that launched a little more than three months ago, has had its price cut from $69.99 to just $27.99. One of the more expensive games in the sale, but come on, it’s basically brand new and arguably only underperformed because it launched right afterBaldur’s Gate 3and a week beforeArmored Core 6.

Immortals of Aveum
Immortals of Aveum is an FPS with a difference, in that magic is the main weapon. As the battlemage Jak, you’re tasked with protecting the world of Lucium during the Everwar.
There are plenty more options if nothing I’ve mentioned so far has convinced you to add some funds to your digital wallet and then immediately part with them. MoreNeed for Speedgames, other Battlefields, and even someStar Warstitles.Star Wars Battlefront 2is currently just $3.99. Having played through its story somewhat recently, I can promise you there is more than $4 worth of content in that game, and I didn’t even touch its online elements.

Star Wars Battlefront 2
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is a shooter that takes place between Episodes 6 and 7, and sees you play the part of Iden Versio, a defector from the Galactic Empire. It features both ground and space battles covering several iconic locations from the Star Wars universe.
Although the release schedule has slowed in preparation for the holidays, studios naturally push a little harder at this time of year to get everyone who owns a console playing their games. EA and Xbox have done that via a sale that cuts the prices of some games to just a few bucks, whilePlayStationandSquare Enixhasslashed the price of Final Fantasy 16. Clive’s adventure continues asDLC shadow dropped during The Game Awards, and it has never been cheaper to venture to Storm and Ash if you haven’t done so already.
