Dragon Ball Zfans have noticed that the Japanese trailer forSparking Zerosays that the game is “Coming Soon”, which is a bit more positive than the English trailer saying “Wishlist Now”.

Just a few days ago,Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2024 treated fans to our best look yet at Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. Not only did we get to see more gameplay than we’ve seen in any other trailer so far,but we also got the confirmation of giant characters like Great Ape Vegeta, and ashowcase of nearly all of Goku and Vegeta’s transformations.

While that should be more than enough for what is technically the game’s second trailer, fans didn’t get the one thing that they wanted more than anything else - a release date. Just like the first trailer for Sparking Zero, the footage ended with a non-commital message to “Wishlist Now” instead of giving any hint about a release window or even if the game is coming out in 2024.

This, combined with the fact that fans spotted a few visual errors in the trailer like Goku turning bald on a few occasions, has convinced fans that we won’t be getting our hands on Sparking Zero until 2025,despite some leakers claiming that it was this year. Although all that evidence is pretty solid,Redditor sanemisolos has pointed out something interesting that suggests it could still be 2024.

This non-committal to a release window is also present on the game’s website, which simply says TBD for the release year.

While the English version of the trailer ends with “Wishlist Now”,the Japanese version of the traileractually has a message saying “Coming Soon” instead. Although that isn’t a release window by any stretch of the imagination, it does certainly sound a lot more like a release in 2024 is possible, whereas asking players to wishlist the game sounds like something you’d ask of a project that’s still some time away.

Of course, this far from confirms that Sparking Zero is going to be releasing in the next 11 months but if, like me, you were a bit disappointed to not get a hint of a release date in the last trailer, it’s a small bit of comfort until we next see the game.
