Part of the versatility of the Media Production Skill comes from the fact that your Sims can build skill levels by doing three different things: vlogging from the phone or drone, mixing music, and editing videos.
Getting Started
There are a few tools at your disposal to practice the Media Production Skill:The Drone, The Video Station, and the Music Mixing Station. Any one of these stations will provide interactions for your Sim to practice Media Production. Your Sims can do everything from research trends, film fashion advice blogs, film product reviews, start a vlog, livestream, and make mixtapes.
Vlogs and live streams willincrease your Sim’s fame rating in real-time,while creating music tracks and selling them will generate fame and royalties for your Sim.
Vlogs and livestreams will give you updated follower count information on your Sim’s notification wall. As your Sim posts more and more content, they’ll start amassing more viewers and recognition. More recognition means more fame.
Media Production Levels
The Media Production skill is a minor skill, so it won’t have ten levels like traditional skills do.There are only five levelsto work through in this skill, so you may find that your Sim masters it more quickly than a traditional skill.
Nevertheless, adding Media Production to your Sim’s skill list will help them generatefame and extra revenue, so it’s a worthwhile skill to pick up if you’re trying to get rich quickly or build your Sim some fame points.

How To Use The Drone
TheGotta Stream ‘Em All Streaming Droneis both adorable and functional. This little bot can follow your Sim around, record their daily life, and stream live video feeds to your Sims’ internet followers. After every session,your Sim will get an update on how many followers they gained or lostand a reminder of their updated total follower count.
The Drone can also be used to record non-live footage like neighborhood shots, and your Sim can order the Drone to capture footage of other Sims not in the household - which let’s face it, is a little creepy, but it’s all for the views, right?
Once your Sim is satisfied with the footage that they’ve captured, they canselect the drone and upload the recorded content to the Video Stationfor processing and editing. If you want to gain fame and revenue from recorded Drone videos, you will have to use the Drone in conjunction with the Video Station. Otherwise, the only way to gain fame with the Drone alone is by livestreaming.
Actions that earn your Sim fame points will have agreen ‘+fame’ tagwith their name in the radial menu. Experiment with options that have this tag, you might be surprised at what you can do to get your Sim noticed.
How To Use The Mix Master Music Station
Your Sim cancraft, burn, and produce music mixesfrom the Mix Master Music Station. You, as the player, will even have the ability todecide what kinds of sounds go into the current mix by selecting options in the Sim’s activity radial.
Once you or your Sim is happy with the way your track sounds, you can send the track off for production, which willgrant you Fame points, and eventually royalties.
