Arcade Quest is one of the newest modes to enter the series inTekken 8, allowing you to take your created Avatar through a contained story, rising through the ranks of local tournaments, culminating with the ultimate Tekken Cup Championship.

Gong Overview In Tekken 8
Gongis thefirst regionyou will visit in Tekken 8’s Arcade Quest, kickstarting your Avatar’s local tournament run. In this area, you will learn the general flow and outline of the mode’s six chapters and be introduced toTreasure Box Fights, Challenges, and even Boss Encounters.
Outside of theMain Mission,indicated by aBlue Exclamation Point,you will see icons above the other Avatars in Gong. Thetable belowwilloutline the various icons,their meaning, and the benefits they offer when defeating them!

Battle the Avatar in a Standard Match, earning decent EXP and Fight Money upon victory.
Treasure Chest
Treasure Box Fight
Partake in a Treasure Box Fight, where you will earn unique Cosmetic Items for your Avatar, Profile, or even Characters upon victory. You will also earn EXP and Fight Money.
As outlined above, there arebenefits to tackling each type of fight in each region.While the Standard Matches may not seem to offer much, the EXP and Fight Money earned by doing all of them in each area is pretty substantial, andwe recommend tackling every fight in each area!
Gong Walkthrough In Tekken 8
Being the mode’s first region, there’s not too much going on in Gong, but there arethree Treasure Box Fights, seven Standard Matches, and a Tournamentthat culminates with your first Boss Encounter that’s part of the Main Questline.
There are alsotwo Challengesyou can tackle in this region, giving youa bit more Fight Money and EXP upon completion.The Challenges, Treasure Box Rewards, and Boss Rewards are in the sections below!
Thechallengers in Gongwill be around the following levels:1st Dan, 2nd Dan, and Strategist.If you defeat everyone in this region before moving on to the next, you will reach the rank ofCombatant.
Max,the guide and tutorial master of Arcade Quest, will alsoteach you the basics of Heat and how to perform basic comboswith your selected character. If you ever want torevisit his tutorials,just find andspeak to himin whichever area you’re in and select the ‘Run Tutorial’ option.
You can alsosee all the Missions/Challenges in your specific areaby selecting the ‘Check Missions From Max’ option when speaking to him. Speaking to Max will also allow you tomove to new regions, change the appearance of your Profile, Avatar, and Characters,and much more!

Afterdefeating this region’s boss,speak toMaxand select the ‘Head Out’ option to move to the next area and progress the story. ‘The Final Round,‘is also availableat this time, which is theSuper Ghost Battlesportion of the game, will also become available. Wesuggest avoiding that area until after you clear all six chaptersof the Arcade Queststory first!
Then, of course, you will still have theseven Brown Boxing Glove Avatarsyou can fight in this region, which westrongly urge you to face before moving on to the next area.Not only will this allow you to level up your favorite character further, but it will allow you to gradually improve your gameplay before moving into a slightly stronger region.
It’s also crucial to point out thatlosing against these Avatars can cause you to earn negative EXP,possibly deranking youif you lose enough of them.
