As you play throughPalworld, you’ll notice you can use your Player Levels to upgrade your character’s stats. However, some stats matter more than others, though that can depend on your playstyle. It can be overwhelming to decide when you should level up each stat, so you don’t fall behind in any category.
If you need help seeing what stats you should focus on, you should look over the stats, then use this guide to see when you should upgrade each one. That way, you can adapt the suggestions to your playstyle and make the most of your level ups to help you survive Palworld and build your base.

Upgradable Stats Overview
You havefive stats you can put Status Points intoeach time you level up. Each time you level up, you haveone Status Point that you can put toward a stat, so it’s critical for you to take your stats one step at a time.
What It Does
HP
Gain more health, whichcauses you to faint if you run out.
Stamina
How long you can perform actionsfor, such as attacking, climbing, and sprinting.
How quickly you canbuild, cook, or perform any other actions.

Weight
How much you can carry. If you carry too many items, you’ll slow down and can’t sprint.
Stats You Should Focus On
As you upgrade your stats, you should focus on the following stats, prioritizing the ones near the top, since they’re useful in most circumstances.
Stamina is one of the most important stats, no matter what you do. Fighting enemies, collecting resources, and sprinting all use your Stamina, meaning running out could place you in a dangerous position, such as not being able to run away or attack.

You’ll want toput Status Points into Stamina at every other leveluntil you get to an amount that feels comfortable. This will depend on your preferences sincesomeone who likes to climb and explore will need more Stamina than someone farming resources.
Even if you let your Pals fight or stay close to your base, you’llneed Stamina for raids.

Weight also matters sinceyou’ll need to collect resources to improve your base and collect food.It may seem like you have plenty of weight at the start, butonce you start collecting heavier resources, it’ll quickly add up.
While Weight matters, and you should put some Status Points into it early,it’s dependent on how far you plan to travel from your base. As you build more bases and increase your Weight, adding points to it won’t matter as much, but if you can’t decide what to put your Status Points into (and you’re happy with your Stamina), always go with Weight.

Attack And Work Speed
These stats are dependent on what you plan to do. For instance,if you want to fight Pals, you should put some points into Attack, while Work Speed is more important if you like to build your base.
While both of them matter, they aren’t as important as other stats, since yourPals can help with both fighting and building.

If you initiate combat against a Pal, you can call on your own to help you, and on the other hand, you canassign Pals to your base and have them perform various tasks, letting you explore or perform other important tasks. If it’s taking youdozens of attacks to defeat foes, put some Status Points into your Attack, and vice versa with completing tasks.
Also, you can increase your Attack by equipping better weapons, making that stat less important.

Ultimately, HP matters the least, especially if you’re playing on Easy or Normal. Since you canlet your Pals fight and support them with ranged attacks, you won’t have to worry as much about getting hit.
Don’t ignore your health, since you don’t want foes to defeat you in one or two attacks. Simplyadd more HP to your character if you notice enemies are starting to deal too much damage.
Equipment can also increase your HP, making it less important to put Status Points into the stat.
As a general rule, you should invest in your health until enemies need to landat least five or six attacks to defeat you, so you’ll have a chance to escape or heal.
Put Points Into Every Stat
Even though some stats are more important than others, you shouldn’t ignore any of them, especially if you’re playing solo. For instance, you’re able to deal tons of damage, have great Stamina, and carry tons of items, butthat won’t help you if you go down in one hit.
It’s important to look over your current stats and see which ones you’re ignoring, soit comes down to how you want to playand whether you play with others.
If you’re playing with others, you couldhave each person focus on a specific role, such as building the base, exploring, collecting resources, and fighting Pals. If that’s the case, they should focus on Work Speed, Stamina, Weight, and Attack/HP, respectively.
Even though all stats matter, you shouldn’t split your Status Points evenly. Even with solo play, you should still focus on some stats over others, such as Weight and Stamina.
