Little Goody Two Shoes is a story-focusedhorror RPGlaunched on Halloween 2023by indie developerAstralShift. This prequel to Pocket Mirror has an expansive cast of characters, from the monsters that lurk in the woods to the townspeople of the small Austrian village nearby. The developers added plenty of detail to make the world seem more alive.

As Elise, you may spend your days doing minigames for money, but you can also go on dates with three different bachelorettes. Your choices actually matter in this game, so each girl has a number of different endings associated with her. Here’s a detailed ranking of all three lovely ladies.

3Freya

Safe And Sound

Freya isn’t a bad love interest by any means. It’s just that she’s overshadowed by the other two girls you can romance. While Freya is probably someone who would make a great partner in real life, these same qualities make her routes somewhat boring in the world of fiction.

Despite all this, Freya is a joy. Sure, she’s a simple girl with simple dreams, but her and Elise have great chemistry. In another, cozier game, they could have perhaps been happier together. Unfortunately, the game’s writing doesn’t provide as much material for her as it does the other bachelorettes.

Freya’s Good Ending: All Your Coziest Dreams

If you decide your girlfriend is too precious to sacrifice for a Faustian bargain, you’ll get a good ending with her. Little Goody Two Shoes is nota cozy gamein any sense of the word. But Freya’s good ending certainly brings up some cozy feelings, and you’d be forgiven for wanting a spinoff.

Elise and Freya continue their lives as errand girls in the village of Kieferberg, until both are able to save up enough money to move to another town. Here, Freya sets up shop as a seamstress, with Elise assisting her in her business. Even if it’s not the most exciting life, they’re both happy in the end.

A bloodied Freya screams in terror as she is sacrificed to a demon in ending 2: Treacherous Rose

For each of the girls, there’s a bad ending that follows the same basic formula. Elise makes a pact with a demon to sacrifice her girlfriend in exchange for a life of luxury. She then spends the rest of her days in regret while the demon in question has stated that he’ll come for her children next.

Such is the way with Freya, who cries for her father as she’s being ripped apart by demons. It really drives home just how morally bankrupt your choices have been. What’s more, Freya’s father is shown mourning his beloved daughter in the epilogue, showing how Elise’s selfish wish has destroyed a family.

2Lebkuchen

Sweet But Spicy

Kieferberg is a town full of people who have let their religious beliefs goad them into paranoia. This makes Lebkuchen a breath of fresh air. Despite her vows, Lebkuchen is critical of the town’s priest, who has ulterior motives in exerting his power over the town. She’s also friendly and jovial to Elise, providing some much-needed levity.

One of Lebkuchen’s defining character moments, surprisingly, comes from Rozenmarine’s bad ending. Here, she’s upset and disillusioned with Elise for sacrificing her girlfriend to a demon. Despite this, she doesn’t want any harm to fall upon Elise or her family, and gives her a pocket mirror to protect her daughter. Even in the worst circumstances, Lebkuchen can’t find it in herself to wish harm upon others.

Lebkuchen’s Good Ending: Sweet Nothings

Decide not to sacrifice Lebkuchen at the game’s conclusion, and you’ll be treated to her good ending. As with Freya, you get to see Elise settle into an ordinary life with her girlfriend. That said, both Elise and Lebkuchen inspire each other to become better people. It’s asweet endingto a harrowing tale.

Elise is elected the mayor of Kieferberg, while Lebkuchen is appointed the town’s ‘elder’ despite her age. The two of them help build Kieferberg into a better place, moving past the traumatic events of the game. This ending strikes a great balance between sweetness and narrative complexity.

Lebkuchen is bloodied and in despair as she is sacrificed to a demon in ending 3: Judas’ Kiss

If you happen to sacrifice Lebkuchen to the demon to achieve Elise’s dreams, the ending you get is particularly painful. Given her connection to the divine, Lebkuchen has some knowledge of demonic forces. She’ll react with disgust at Elise’s betrayal and curse her for years to come.

There is a ray of hope for their relationship, however. Filled with regret, a much older Elise will take refuge in a monastery. After seeing what she’s been through, Lebkuchen’s spirit will forgive her. At least the two can be together in death, even if this ending’s Elise treated Lebkuchen so horribly in life.

1Rozenmarine

Twisted Love

If the events of Pocket Mirror are anything to go by, Rozenmarine’s romance is the closest out of the three to being canon. That wouldn’t ordinarily be a point in her favor, but it does mean that AstralShift spent the most time developing her storyline. We would have liked to see the other girls get more love, but it is what it is.

This adorable witchis a bit of a doormat, and believes she’s powerless to change her fate. This forms an entertaining, if not exactly healthy, with the hot-headed Elise. Her terrible sense of self-worth is the driving force behind much of her romance arc’s conflict, as well as her worst endings.

Rozenmarine’s Good Ending: Screw Destiny!

Rozenmarine’s good ending is full of everyone’s guilty pleasure romance tropes. If you refuse to sacrifice Rozenmarine at the game’s conclusion, Elise will try to convince her that she can determine her own fate. After this, Rozenmarine says she needs to leave for a while to find herself.

She and Elise reunite years later, however. With their fates now in their own hands, they resolve to spend the rest of their lives together in the town of Kieferberg. It’s a sweet and narratively satisfying end that provides some much-needed serotonin if you happen to get one of her bad endings first.

Rozenmarine smiles as she is sacrificed to a demon in ending 1: Moira

If you’ve played Pocket Mirror, Rozenmarine’s bad ending hurts. It’s the true ending of Little Goody Two Shoes, and the direct consequences of your choices set up the events that create the plot for Pocket Mirror. Like the other endings, Elise enters a loveless marriage and a gilded cage. But there are extra scenes that set the stage for events to come.

Notably, unlike the other two love interests, Rozenmarine seems downright happy to be sacrificed to the Strange Boy. Lebkuchen and Freya are both understandably upset to have met such a fate, but for Rozenmarine, fate is all there is. She’s smiling all the way to her death, but that doesn’t make the ending any less horrific.

Rozenmarine and Elise fuse into a tree together in Ending 8: The Kiss

As bad as the true ending for Little Goody Two Shoes gets, there are far worse endings out there. If you take Rozenmarine with you during the endgame but don’t have her token of affection, then congratulations! You’ve unlocked what is probably the most delightfully messed up ending in the entire game.

Elise does not get her wish in this ending. She doesn’t even get to live to feel the disappointment afterward. No, instead she gets to fuse with Rozenmarine into a tree, as her girlfriend laughs about how they’ll be together forever. At least Rozenmarine seems satisfied with this fate, and it’s definitely one of the more interesting endings out there.
