Early on, you start with a max health of only three hearts, which meanspetting cows for their milk or chickens for their eggsis pivotal for survival since both of these resourceswill heal you for two hearts, which is effectively 66 percent of your total health.
Although there are certainly other foods, especially cooked kinds, that will heal you more, milk and eggs are preferable when you’re just starting out because you don’t have to waste tool durability, potentially risk dying, or spend a bunch of resources up front because cooked food requires a Grill.

5Vines
You shouldn’t have any problem finding Vines sincethey drop from harvesting or destroying various plants, like Pumpkins or bushes. This is great news because Vines have all kinds of applications, including:

4Bones
Bones are a common drop received from Skeletons, which can be found wandering around at night or prowling the inner chambers of intricate cave systems. While groups of Skeletons can be a bit of a hassle, just play safe by dodging their attacks and smacking them until they fall.
Once you have a decent bundle of these calcium-rich sticks, you’ll be able to use them for absolutely vital items and gear. The biggest upgrades you should go for first areHealth Charms, which increase your defense and max health, and theupgraded axes, pickaxes, and shovelssince that’ll let you collect better resources.
3Wolf Claws
Whether you decide to go head-to-head with a ferocious Wolf on your own or let one of your villagers fight instead, the outcome will be the same once the situation is resolved: you’ll be rewarded with some Wolf Claws.

Knotwood and Marble are uncommon rarity resources that are found in cave systems. Before you grab a pickaxe and an axe and start spelunking, though,make sure you have the upgraded bone version of these toolssince basic wooden tools won’t be able to mine these resources.
Once you’ve gathered some of these resources and made it back to your home base safely,ensure to refine the Knotwood into Knotroot Rods at your Lumber Millsince you’ll need them for a better sword and tools, andbuild a Stone Breakerwith 20 Knotwood and 35 Marble to make stronger structures.
