Summary
With the release of new playable characters, fans and players ofNaruto X Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connectionshave a lot to say about the best ones in the game. The game’s roster includes over 150 ninjas, so choosing the best one is far from an easy task.
There are a lot of qualities that could determine the rank of a character in this game and an already great collection of unique abilities and styles has been updated with some new faces who already show a lot of promise. However, there are a few characters that stand out as great choices for both new and experienced players.

10Madara Uchiha
If they deal with the first meteor, what about the second one?
Madara Uchiha is a name spoken with respect and fear in the shinobi world. Much like the ghost of the Uchiha in the source material, the character of Madara and the players who use him to their advantage are more than worthy opponents to anyone they face.
Madara’s Ultimate Jutsu is a great homage to his introduction in the Fourth Great Shinobi War. This is a perfect character for anyone looking to adopt a simple but effective playstyle and shower their opponent with meteors along the way.

9Naruto (Sage Of The Six Paths Mode)
Naruto and Kurama work together perfectly.
One of the most powerful versions of Naruto in this game, the Sage of the Six Paths, packs a punch with his regular Jutsu alone. However, his Ultimate Jutsu, which is the Nine-Tailed Beast Clones using Rasen Shurikens, is truly a sight to behold.
As powerful as it’s beautifully animated, this version of Naruto is a combination of strength and an attack-oriented style, with great design inspired by one of Naruto’s best looks. It’s an explosion of great and colorful moves that guarantee a fun experience.

8Minato (Reanimation)
The Yellow Flash himself.
While he’s always been a fan-favorite and one ofthe best Ninjain the story, as a playable character, Minato has a lot more to offer than sentiment. Clearly imagined to be fast and creative, he offers the player a chance to show some real skill. The Fourth Hokage has some powerful Ninjutsu at his disposal and, if played correctly, he delivers a rewarding experience.
Some of the best and most fun-to-play characters in games such as this one are very skill-dependent. Minato is by no means the hardest gameplay experience ever, but learning his specific style and using it to your full advantage pays off against the strongest characters in the game.

7Pain
Don’t underestimate the Six Paths Of Pain
From the moment he showed up in the manga and on the screen, Pain has captivated audiences from across the entire world with his story and unique power. His video game version lives up to the original, at least when it comes to dealing with powerful foes.
Pain is a great option for players finding joy in an active playstyle. His Jutsu arsenal makes for a well-rounded arsenal of weapons and his abilities enable him to both control the battlefield and overwhelm his opponent by the sheer volume of things happening on screen.

6Kawaki
Is it recency bias, or are the new characters just that good?
A great addition to an already fantastic cast of characters, Kawaki brings a lot of excitement to the table. Loved by the fans for both his growing role in the story, as well as his fantastic set of skills, he is a perfect choice for players looking to do something new.
Kawaki’s combos are solid, and his Karma Absorption Jutsu can be a very dangerous weapon in the right hands. A learning curve definitely exists with this character, but it does seem like his abilities reward those who practice them.

5Sarada Uchiha
Chidori for the win.
When it comes to gameplay, Sarada rewards fast players who love button-mashing their way to victory. Her Chidori can overwhelm the opponent very quickly by hitting them again and again while they are in a vulnerable position.
The rest of Sarada’s kit is excellent as well and her combos are a lot of fun to play around with. With some good options at range, great speed, and a very nice defense, the young Uchiha is here to bring the fight to the best of them.

4Obito
The power of the Uchiha is once again on full display.
Obito is a character that is very fun to play, and his Ten-Tails as the Ultimate Jutsu can bring about more than enough damage to deal with any threat. While the trademark Uchiha fireballs might be his main weapon, everything in Obito’s arsenal is dangerous in the right hands. He is strong, fast, and he looks amazing - what is there to dislike?
Although not as overpowered as some other characters, when he summons the Juubi as his Ultimate Jutsu, Obito can still give the strongest characters in the game a run for their money. He can control the battlefield, he’s not bad at range, and he is guaranteed to make the opponent think about their every move.

3Tayuya
A reliable choice with a simple playstyle.
Tayuya is one of the strongest characters in the game for a reason. Her abilities cover every important aspect of the fight, and she is fairly easy to learn and use. She is a beginner-friendly character, but she also knows how to reward seasoned players for the hours they invest in her.
Whether it’s control, summons, or just plain speed and damage - Tayuya can provide sure footing on the way towards victory. Playing as this character feels active and fun, but playing against her seems far less so, admittedly.

2Naruto (Baryon Mode)
The Seventh Hokage in his most powerful form.
This version of Naruto has a lot of power and a lot of range, which makes it very successful against support-heavy opponents. He is an easy character to play, with great attack and defense, as well as some iconic weapons at his disposal.
Both the Massive Rasengan and the Tail Beast Bomb are amazing Jutsu options, which makes every fight all the more exciting. Naruto’s players are already used to his combos looking awesome and his style being fast, and Baryon Mode is no different.

1Sasuke Uchiha (Supporting Kage)
Sasuke wields power worthy of his name.
With an abundance of speed and combo potential, Sasuke comes to the top of the pack with his best version to date. He is easy to use, and he provides a lot of different, fun options to play with.
Sasuke’s Rinnegan Swapenables him to use his to switch places with his opponent, which is an ability with boundless potential yet to be unleashed. Combining this move with traps and other unique ways to trick your opponents can prove extremely successful and Sasuke’s power could be limited by the player’s creativity alone.
