Palworldis full of amazing and diverse creatures and ways to produce necessary items meant to help you survive in its many hostile and beautiful regions. One such way is by using pals with the farming skill to drop items at ranches, which vary greatly depending on the pal.

Compared to other skills, every pal with farming only has one level in it, but most produce a unique item only available through that pal. With only so many bases you can place and ranches you can place inside them, it can be difficult to determine which pal is the best for farming.

paldeck entry for lamball in palworld

8Lamball

Paldeck No. 001

Lamball is the small, fluffy pal that you are tasked with catching in the tutorial. Lamball is one of the three pals that produce wool, which is an essential item for many item recipes, including the glider and many other recipes that need cloth.

Because Lamball is so abundant and easy to catch, it’s much easier to end up catching one with a trait that increases work speed. Assigning multiple to the same ranch can produce as much wool as you’ll ever need.

paldeck entry for Chikipi in palworld

7Chikipi

Paldeck No. 003

Chikipi is a large, chubby chicken and the only pal that drops eggs when assigned to the ranch. While you can find eggs by either knocking certain pals out or finding them randomly in the wild, having a Chikipi farm them is much more efficient.

Eggs can also be used to make an omelet, which produces the highest defense buff among other food items.

paldeck entry for Mau in palworld

Eggs are especially useful because they are used in multiple cooking recipes and reduce hunger by a significant amount. While a little more effort than it’s worth for filling the feed box, it’s very useful for filling out your feed bag.

6Mau

Paldeck No. 024

Mau is an Egyptian-inspired cat and the only pal that drops coins when assigned to the ranch. While one Mau doesn’t drop enough to fill your bank, having multiple assigned at a time will provide you with a sizable passive income.

This saves you from having to make trips farming rubies and wasting pal balls on random pals just with the intention of selling. You can also use these coinsat the merchant, essentially exchanging Mau’s farming drops for anything in the shop.

paldeck entry for Mozzarina in palworld

You can easily find Mau inside lower and mid level dungeons, and always two or three at a time.

5Mozzarina

Paldeck No. 029

A very round cow with an unsettling face, Mozzarino is the only palthat drops milkwhen assigned to the ranch. Like eggs, milk is used for various recipes but reduces less hunger when consumed raw or cooked individually.

However, it’s necessary for certain recipes that raise hunger greatly, like cake, which is also required for breeding pals. Milk is also used for making pancakes and mushroom stew, which relatively quickly and feeds pals very efficiently while raising sanity.

paldeck entry for Woolipop in palworld

4Woolipop

Paldeck No. 034

Woolipop is essentially a sheep made out of candy, with its Paldeck entry stating it is 2,000 times sweeter than sugar, if that even makes sense. Another pal with a unique drop, Woolipop produces cotton candy at the ranch.

While cotton candy only provides five nutrition, it also produces five sanity, which is much higher than most raw or even cooked food. This makes Woolipop best for producing cotton candy in bulk that you can store in the feeder to ensure your pals don’t lose too much sanity.

paldeck entry for Caprity in palworld

3Caprity

Paldeck No. 035

Captrity is a goat with a berry bush on its back, which makes sense as it produces raw berries when assigned to the ranch. Berries are the most common food item in the game and produces 15 nutrition raw and 21 nutrition cooked, which you may do very quickly.

While it doesn’t provide any sanity, it’s the easiest food to put into the feed box or your feed bag while you are hunting or planting additional food sources. Because of how much it drops, you really only need one Caprity on the ranch.

paldeck entry for Beegarde in palworld

2Beegarde

Paldeck No. 050

One of Elizabee’s worker drones, Beegarde is a vaguely bee-shaped pal and one of the few ways you can get honey, which it drops in the ranch. Honey can be consumed raw for ten nutrition and three sanity, and Beegarde tends to produce more than you’ll need.

Unlike Beegarde, Elizabee unfortunately has no farming skill.

Honey is also an ingredient in cake, which means you’ll need to have at least one if youplan on breeding pals. When compared to cotton candy, honey is better for placing in the feed box, meaning you should only prioritize Woolipop if you have one with a work speed buff.

1Flambelle

Paldeck No. 070

Flambelle is a small pal that looks like a melting candle made of magma, and is the only pal that produces flame organs when assigned to the ranch. Flame organs are especially useful as they are used in fire arrows, saddles, furnaces, armor, and much more.

This is also the easiest and most efficient way to get flame organs, as otherwise you’d have to catch or hunt fire type pals which aren’t overly common or are tucked away in high level areas. If you may, attempt to have multiple Flambelle on your ranches.
