The battle royale genre would not be as popular withoutFortnite. That’s just a fact. And many of you have been clamoring for the feeling of Fortnite’s early days. Thankfully, Epic Games listened and has delivered OG Fortnite to all of us. It takes us back to the game’s beginnings.
For those of you familiar with OG Fortnite, you’ll know the map like the back of your hand. It is the map that kicked off Chapter 1 Season 5. If you started playing the game a bit later, then you’ll want to know the best landing spots. There are a lot to choose from, but there are several that will get you geared up and ready for the Victory Royale.

10Lucky Landing
You Might Get Lucky
The Japanese-inspired landing spot in OG Fortnite is one of the most beautiful locations on the map. It’s vibrant and full of life. Lucky Landing is to the very south and where you’ll want to drop if survival is your game.
There’s plenty of loot to obtain here. And lots of materials to gather if you’re playing the original building mode of Fortnite. With many other popular locations back in OG Fortnite, you’ll often find yourself alone at Lucky Landing.

9Snobby Shores
Take From The Rich
The farthest POI to the west on the OG Fortnite map is Snobby Shores. Its name fits it perfectly. You’ll find lush lawns surrounding expensive houses. So,do a bit of a Robin Hoodand take from the rich.
This is one of many locations that see minimal foot traffic because of its placement on the map. If you land here to start a game, the area may not be contested at all. Each house has loot for you to grab so you can rotate out fully stocked up.

8Loot Lake
A Massive Centralized Landing Spot
Loot Lake isnamed that for a reason. It has a lot of loot to obtain. You’ll probably come across many players looking to land here because of its closeness to the center of the map. Thankfully, there are a handful of small islands that work to separate players.
The lake has several ziplines allowing you to travel across it. Get a weapon and use them to your advantage. If you want early kills, this is a great place to drop. Just watch for anyone rotating from the surrounding points of interest, like Dusty Divot or Pleasant Park.

7Race Track
Unnamed And Untouched
The race track is not a named point of interest on the OG Fortnte map. You’ll find it in the eastern portion, as the very last location of the desert biome. It is to the north of Paradise Palms and very few players tend to drop here.
The lack of enemies makes it ripe for the picking. Several buildings sit around the race track with chests and floor loot for you to grab. Once you’re done, you’ve got your choice of where to go depending how the circle plays out.

6Greasy Grove
A Good Place To Rotate From
Greasy Grove is pretty popular, but its positioning next to Tilted Towers is important. Drop here right away to secure some loot andwatch the skies. If someone lands here, they might not believe they’re skilled enough to take on Tilted or saw it was crowded and switched drop zones a bit late.
That gives you quite the advantage if you waste no time in stopping at the Grove. It has a large number of lootable buildings and is surrounded by hills. This can make great cover for your rotation when you need to move on.

5Shifty Shafts
Easy Landing Spot To Escape
Shifty Shafts is not as popular as some other landing spots on the OG Fortnite map. That is what makes it a great place to land. There might not be a single player dropping with you, leaving the entire mine shaft for you.
If a handful of opponents do drop there, the landscape makes iteasy for you to escape. The winding interior of Shifty Shafts is like a maze. You can easily catch another player off guard or leave them stumped as you make a miraculous getaway.

4Viking Village
A Spot Worth Pillaging
The Viking Village sits on top of a mountain, but you won’t see its name reflected on the OG Fortnite map. This nameless location is between Snobby Shores and Greasy Grove. It’s a tad incognito, which makes it great for anyone who wants to pillage in peace.
There are several huts with multiple floors. You’ve got a decent number of chests to open up in hopes of scoring some solid loot. Then there’s the Viking ship with a guaranteed chest on top and inside. All of that comes with a beautiful view of the surrounding area.

3Tilted Towers
Eliminations Galore
If you’re one to go straight for the fights in Fortnite, Tilted Towers is the OG location you must drop. It is a massive city with tall buildings and open streets. You will more than likely see half of the Battle Bus land here.
Trust yourself and take to a Tilted Towers rooftop. Get some weapons and either stake out the location or start to fight your way down from your perch. Even if you don’t make it out alive, you can be satisfied with multiple eliminations.

2Risky Reels
Quiet Northern Location
If build mode is your thing, there’s no greater source of metal material than Risky Reels. To the far northeast, you’ll find the quiet drive-in movie theater. There are a few buildings on its perimeter with loot, but inside it is just as stacked.
Without a movie actively playing here, people tend to avoid going this far up the map. It is often way outside of any starting circle. If you don’t mind traveling, use that to your advantage. Harvest some cars for some metal, take down the fences for some wood, and rotate out fully stocked and ready to fight.

1Retail Row
The Best Place To Drop In OG Fortnite
Retail Row is absolutely the best location to drop on the OG Fortnite map. The huge shopping district is full of materials for you to gather and buildings to loot. It’s a popular spot, but the size of the POI makes it easy to drop in on one side and get out without losing your life.
What makes it even better is its location on the map itself. Dusty Divot, Lonely Lodge, Tomato Temple, and Salty Springs all surround it. So once you’re done looting, you can move to another location for even more.
