The horrorgame starring terrifying animatronics is also available on iPhone. You’re a security guard on the night shift at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Your job involveswatching the animatronics and ensuring they stay in their designated spaces.
Since the game takes place in a security room, it’s easily compatible with the iPhone, especially due to its point-and-click nature. Now, the real question: is the game less scary on a small screen or more because the jump scares are closer to your face?
Now available on other platforms,Inmost is a horror story that takes you into three seemingly separate stories. Unlike the others on this list, Inmost is more tragedy than horror. The interconnecting tales are heartbreaking, though you may be confused until you reach the end of the story.
The puzzle platformer is largely narrative-driven. The controls are fairly simple, making it an easy game to play on your phone. One thing’s for sure: you’ll probably get more tears out of this game than screams.
Unlike some of the other games on this list, Into the Dead is much more action-packed. The iPhone game is a zombie first-person shooter. You run through fields and woods while dodging a horde of zombies walking in your direction.
The goal is to run as far as you may without being eaten. You have a limited amount of ammunition, so you have to choose your shots wisely. You’re safe as long as you can breeze past them, weaving in and out of all obstacles.

Also available on consoles and PC, Limbo is a unique indie horror game from the creators of Inside. Inthis creepy side-scroller, you play a boy navigating a dark and desolate landscape, being chased by enemies everywhere you go. Your goal is to find your sister in a city that’s falling apart.
In accordance with its namesake, Limbo takes place in a realm between life and death, an in-between state. Everything is set in black and white to emphasize the dreary, creepy theme. The plot is fairly ambiguous and up to interpretation.

Rest in Pieces is a more straightforward horror game. You hold a porcelain doll on a chain and carefully swing it to avoid obstacles like creepy enemies or rock formations. If you lose control and hit an object, the doll will break into pieces, and you’ll need to start over. Each level is an individual nightmare.
There are six different nightmares to choose from, each with a different scary theme: a killer clown, the Kraken, Dracula, a Yeti, the Insectum, Medusa, and Aralob’s Web. There are several dolls to choose from when facing each nightmare, with the end goal of saving the character from their bad dream.
Rusty Lake Paradise is an indie horror game by the developer Rusty Lake. There are a few different Rusty Lake games, like Rusty Lake Hotel and Rusty Lake: Roots. In Rusty Lake Paradise, you arrive at a small wooded island after your mother’s death. There, you find the island afflicted by a 10-day plague, reminiscent of the Ten Plagues of Egypt.
Each day is a new struggle: water turned to blood, frogs, gnats and lice, flies, death and sickness of livestock, boils, hail, locusts, darkness, and the death of firstborn children. You must solve these puzzles and restore your mother’s memories to cure the land.
Samsara Room is another Rusty Lake game. Like other Rusty Lake games, Samsara Room is creepy with surrealist undertones. The protagonist is undergoing some kind of existentialist crisis as they grapple with the circle of life and its meaning.
You must solve a series of abstract puzzles and collect strange items throughout the game, like lizards, worms, fish, knives, hearts, and leaves. Along the way, you’ll find creepy shadow figures in mirrors and a dead body in a surprising place.

Also available on other platforms, Dead by Daylight Mobile is a great horror game to play with friends, and that’s only made easier through iOS. Anyone can play Dead by Daylight with you. Theasymmetrical horror game allows one player to be the Killer and the other four to be the Survivors.
The Survivors must evade the Killer at all costs,while the Killer must hunt each Survivor down, impaling them on a hook. The slasher movie-inspired game even offers you different iconic film and game characters to choose from.
In Eyes, you’re searching through a rich man’s mansion that you believe to be abandoned, collecting as many money bags as possible. But this heist is far from easy. You’re not actually alone in the house, and this is where the “eyes” come in. You must collect Eye Runes to see the monster lurking the halls, and you’ll also need them to hide from it.
The monster, like monsters usually are in many of these kinds of games, is a pale creature with long dark hair, but this time, it’s a floating head with internal organs hanging out. It’s certainly creepier than most monsters you’ll find in games like this, and it’s always a good jump scare.
Like so many horror games, Knock-Knock takes place in the dark. The protagonist, a member of the Lodger family, wakes up to a strange noise and leaves his bed to investigate it. While roaming the dark home, you’ll notice various things in need of fixing, but of course, the horror extends beyond fixing lights in the dark.
Knock-Knock is a butterfly effect game. Everything you do has consequences, leading to different game endings. You’ll need to make decisions carefully while also hiding or running away from creepy enemies lurking in the dark. The catch? The Lodger is struggling with insomnia, suggesting his exhaustion may be playing tricks on his mind.
