While many have their own unique preferences, there are certain gifts that all villagers can agree on. Whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing, we’re here to tell you the best ways to befriend your neighbors. These gifts are sure to make relationships a lot easier.
What Are Universally Loved Gifts?
Universally loved gifts areitems that almost all characters loveand adore. This is thebest way to build a relationship, however there are a few exceptions to the rule.
Theonly universally loved item is Pink Diamond. They can befound in the mines or by processing geodes.
Jim is the only character that hates Pink Diamond.
Othercharacters have unique lovesthat can conflict with the rest of the list, however, those feelings are specific to the individual character.
What Are Universally Liked Gifts?
Universally liked gifts arenot as popular as loved gifts, but they stillearn favor with the recipient. These are often mucheasier to acquirethan loved gifts, like Pink Diamond.
Exceptions To The Rule
While these gifts are often well received, there area few exceptionsto the rule that must be noted. For example,Yuri and Charles hate all flowers. Several villagers alsodon’t like violets, most notably Alice.
Additionally,certain recipes are favorites. For example,Mark loves Hot ChocolateandRafael loves Sashimi. Talking to villagers can reveal what their favorite items are.
What Are Universally Neutral Gifts?
Not all gifts give characters a strong reaction.Some gifts are just okay, and that’s fine! If you want to continue giving gifts, but you can’t find a certain character’s preferences, it’s perfectly fine to deliver a gift that’s neutral.
Not all neutral items are well received. For example,Dippa and Erika hate violets. Meanwhile, somecharacters like coconuts, like Aaliyah, rafael, Lily, and Raj.
What Are Universally Disliked Gifts?
As much as there are liked gifts, there are several gifts that the islanderswould rather not receive. This will cause you toessentially waste an itemwith the characters that receive items they don’t like, asyou won’t receive any points.
Not all disliked gifts are poorly received. For example,Scott loves geodesand will thank you profusely for them. While most people strongly dislike receiving fish,Wakuu loves Salmon.
What Are Universally Hated Gifts?
Some gifts are better off not being given. These gifts areuniversally hated by almost all villagers, meaning that it’snot worth holding ontoif you need a last-minute birthday gift.
Not all hated gifts are hated by all. For instance,Eleanor likes a couple of bugs, like Puss Moths and several butterflies.
