A massive glow-up from the mishaps ofShadowlands, the dragon-filled expansion has been filled with consistent content. Constant patches and communication with the community seems to have brought the flame back for a lot of players.
If you’re coming back to the game now, or trying it out for the first time, these addons are really useful tools for a lot of different areas of Dragonflight. Whether you’re leveling an alt, achievement-hunting or pushing the highest possible Mythic keys, you’ll find something useful for you here.

This list is not ordered. All these addons serve crucial purposes in their respective parts of the game. They’re meant to be used in combination with each other.
7DeadlyBossMods or BigWigs
DBMis the most downloaded addon in World of Warcraft retail, by far. Sitting at nearly 500 million downloads, it is basically a part of the game now.BigWigs(andLittleWigs) are also mentioned here as an alternative, because both addons do essentially the same thing.
This is a quality-of-life mod filled with information about dungeons and raids, and it will save you so many times you’ll lose count. If you’re venturing into this type of content, install one of these addons, you will not want to go back.

6WeakAuras
The fourth most downloaded addon in Dragonflight isWeakAuras. More veteran players will recommend this endlessly, and with good reason! It might seem daunting at first, but with the amount of resources available today, you don’t even need to really learn how to use it.
This addon allows you to track your cooldowns more easily, is completely customizable and has absurd community support through sites likewago.io. It takes a bit of time to get used to it, but it will make you a much better player.

WeakAuras' Key Features:
5HandyNotes
The clue is in the name.HandyNoteshas information about almost everything you can imagine. It layers seemlessly on top of your map and fills it with icons. Simply hover them and read the explanations that the addon has to give.

HandyNotes' Key Features:
4TomTom
Playing WoW withoutTomTomis like visiting a new town without using Google Maps. Sure, you may do it, but should you? WoW’s GPS allows you to set waypoints (with a fancy, green arrow included), check coordinates for sharing purposes and use other people’s coordinates for yourself.
Most people use it, hence why you’ll see a lot of /way commands on WoW’sRedditand in many other places. Just like HandyNotes, it takes up no space in your UI unless you are actively using it.

TomTom Key Features:
3Details! Or Recount
The third most donwloaded addon in World of Warcraft is, of course,Details.Recountcomes close behind at fifth, but it is just as good. These two do the same thing: tracking all sorts of stats related to your and your party’s/raid’s performance.
WoW does not have any way to track what damage you are dealing, how much healing you’re getting or any other stat like it, so Details! (or Recount) is a must-have if you’re interested in knowing that.

Details!/Recount Key Features:

1Raider.IO
Raider.IOis the second most downloaded addon in World of Warcraft, sitting at nearly 300 million transfers. Despite having a much more specific use than most other addons in this list, it is a fantastic tool. It is essentially an all-in-one stop for crucial information about players.
It will, at a glance, let you know what the player you’re analyzing has done recently when it comes to later-game content. Be it mythic dungeons or raids, Raider.IO has all the necessary information condensed in an easily digestible manner.
