Summoner’s War: Sky Arenahas been available on phones and is now available on PC through Steam. If you’ve been waiting for this moment to finally start your summoner journey, there are a few things you should know to avoid costly mistakes. Certain mistakes can make progression much more difficult.
Summoner’s War: Sky Arena, also known as simply Summoner’s War, is more in-depth than it seems. There are plenty of tasks and events to keep you occupied, and you can challenge yourself as much as you want with competitive battles. Don’t be afraid to take things at a slower pace.

Keep Your Introductory Monster Summons
It’s easy to assume that themonsters you summon during the tutorial are probably some of the worst monsters you can use. WithSummoner’s War: Sky Arena, that isn’t true. You’llhave a useful team to lead you through the beginning story contentand tutorials.
Each monster serves a purpose, so even if you don’t have great summoning luck when you’re finished with the tutorial, you’ll still be able to progress with the teamyou’ve been given. You’ll alsouse some of those monsters in late-gameas well. Don’t assume that two-star monsters are “bad”.

Many have useful skills you’ll needas you progress. Here are a few monsters tokeep an eye out for. Be sure tosave them if you summon one:
Remember To Obtain And Upgrade Runes
Runes cantransform even the weakest summoned monster into something more formidable. There are definitelytiers of quality when discussing monsters, but without runes, even the so-called best monsters will be easily defeated.
Equipping runes will give you a stat boost, but remember toupgrade them as you go. You’ll quickly progress from one-star quality runes to two and three-star quality runes.

You shouldn’t have to invest too much in your first gray one-star quality runes before obtaining better ones.Upgrading even those basic runes to level sixcan make a big differencewhen progressing through the tutorial and story content.
Don’t worry aboutupgrading your introductory runes to level 12or above.Save your mana stonesfor upgrading better runes.

You Don’t Need To Pay To Play Or Win
Summoner’s War, like many other free mobile games, makes its money through microtransactions. At any given time, there is awide range of packages that you can purchase to get scrolls, or in-game currency.
It can betempting to sink money into the gamewhen you run out of energy or want to keep upgrading your runes but run out of mana stones. Summoning is fun, andbuying scrolls gives you more opportunities to acquire new monsters.

You really don’t need to do any of that to play.Summoner’s War has events regularlythatgive you scrolls and energy. As you progress, you’ll also be able to upgrade the devices that earn energy and mana stonesso you’ll earn more in a shorter time.
Many agree that thegame feels like it is pay-to-win. If you spend thousands of dollars on the game to get scrolls, you’re more likely to end up with many of the higher-tier monsters. You canabsolutely summon higher-tier monsters from the scrolls the game providesthough, so there isno actual need to spend money.

Creative team-building and good runes can give you a fighting chanceagainst monsters that seem like they might be better.
Link Your Account To Prevent Data Loss
In some instances, you might find a way to play as a guest. If you manage to do that, ensure you eventuallylink your account with one of the suggested connections.
Doing so helps prevent data loss, andenables the company to retrieve your accountif you get hacked or forget your login. If you’re playing on Steam, it shouldgive you the link screen right away, so yourdata will be protected from the beginning.

Don’t Underestimate Monster Skills
If you’re new to games with team-building mechanics, it could beeasy to overlook the importance of certain skills.Defense break probably sounds helpful, but sometimes other skills such asfilling up an attack barmay not seem important.
There’s a lot of in-game jargon to learn, butanything that supports your teamby decreasing negative effects, increasing speed, or filling up attack barscan be just as important as the attacksthat do extra damage.

Blocking an enemy’s ability to healcan ensure your team’s survival, even if they’re up against a tanky foe. Pairing that with adefense break, or a continuous damage skillcan turn the tables in your favor.
Skills can usually be leveled up, which means theydo more damage, are more effective, or even heal a greater amount. Don’t ignore leveling up skills when you have a team that works well for you.

Don’t Accidentally Feed The Wrong Monsters During Power-Ups
You canuse the power-up circle to enhance your summoned monsters. You can use it to quickly level a monster up by “feeding” it other monsters you don’t need, like the silver-starred monstersthat are typically one to two-star quality.
Evolution is another way to empower monstersand improve them by one-star quality. A two-star quality monster, for example, could be upgraded to a three-star qualitymonster.

The process is similar to powering-up, whereyou sacrifice enough monsters or rainbowmon to help improve the star levelof a monster. It’s easy during one of these processes toput in a monster you didn’t intend, and there’s no way to undo the process.
You canprevent this from happening by locking any monsteryou want to keep. Once it is locked, you won’t be able to accidentally feed your new five-star monsterto that three-star one you’re trying to level up.
Each monster needs to be locked individually, so it’s best to do thisas soon as you summonany new monsters. You can always unlock it if you decide you’d rather use it to power-up a monster.
Keep Rainbowmon, Angelmon, And Devilmon
When you want toimprove your monsters by increasing the star levels, the experience level, or skills, some monsters are very effective at those tasks. Using thesededicated monsters for their intended purposesmeans you don’t have to sacrifice any of your useful monsters.
Angelmon are used to help you level upyour summoned monsters. When you summon a monster, it will be level one. You canfeed it angelmon in the power-up circle to help it gain levelsquickly.
There are avariety of angelmon, such as king angelmon, and super angelmon. Be sure to read their descriptions before using them to get the most benefit out of them. Super angelmon, for example, will make your monster reach its maximum levelat the current star quality. These aregreat to use on newly six-starred monsters.
Rainbowmon are an effective way tohelp your monsters increase their star level. Normally, you might have to sacrifice three monsters of three-star quality or better to get a three-star monster up to a four-star quality. Rainbowmon have no other use, since they can’t be used in combat. It’s better to use these to improve the star quality of monsters.
If youfeed a devilmon to a monster, it will level upa random skill of that monster. If you have a wind fairy, you could feed another fairy of any element tolevel up a skill in the same manner. Devilmon aremore useful for skill level ups on monsters that are rare, such as five-star monsters.
Visit The Cairos Dungeon As Soon As Possible
Summoner’s War walks you through areas on the map that increase in difficulty as you progress through the tutorial and story. Your summoner journey won’t stop there though.
You’llunlock the Cairos Dungeon, which offersadditional increases in difficulty. Your rewards for completing these levels vary, but oftenyou’ll receive better-quality runesthan you get by just redoing the map areas.
Map areas can still be very helpful though, becauseyou know exactly what type of rune setyou’ll receive. For general rune grinding though, you’ll want the runes that come out of the Giant’s Keep, Dragon’s Lair, and Necropolis. Giants Keep will bethe best one to focus on at firstto improve monsters.
There areadditional dungeons available within Cairos Dungeonthat will help youget artifacts for your monstersto further empower them, as well aselement-based dungeons such as the Hall of Fire. You’llneed essences from the elemental hallsto awaken your monsters into their final form.
Collect Monster Pieces
There are a variety of ways tocollect monster pieces in the game. Monster pieces will stay in your collection, andcan be accessed by interacting with the summoning circle.
You can get them fromparticipating in secret dungeons that you or your friends discover. Depending on how many levels you clear in the dungeon, you’ll get some monster pieces. You canrun the dungeon as many times as possiblewithin an hour.
Additionally, once a month Summoner’s War opens a special dungeonin the Cairos Dungeon called the Hall of Heroes. TheHall of Heroes provides you a way to collect piecesfor a four-star quality monster.
The Hall of Heroes dungeons aredifficult for beginners to clear, but you canuse friends' monsters to help you. You only need toclear the first and second stagesto be able to summon the monster. Even if you can only clear the first stage, it’s still worth it since the particular monstermay be available in a future Hall of Heroes.
Monster pieces don’t expire, so you can continue to save them and can even haveenough to summon multiplesof a monster.
Check The Magic Shop For Good Deals
There are a lot of different shops in Summoner’s War, and it can absolutely be confusing. There areshops specific to real-world currency, as well asshops for participating in arena battlesjust to name a couple.
Themagic shop is a generic shopthat only sells items for mana stones, which isan earnable in-game currency. you may purchase mana stones with real money in the proper shop, but if you’re patient, you’ll soonhave plenty of mana stonesfor the magic shop.
Theshop refreshes its offerings on an hourly basis, so don’t forget to check. The prices are sometimes quite high, but you may be able tofind good deals for higher-quality runes.
Find A Guild As Soon As Possible
Though there is plenty more to discuss about this game, our last suggestion will be tofind a guild as soon as possible. Some guilds will accept newer players, which ishighly beneficial to your game progress.
Some in-game events arerelated to guild accomplishments, and you’ll be able totake part in guild battles to earn guild points. Guild points can bespent in the guild shop on special monster pieces, scroll pieces, super angelmon, or even rainbowmon.
These rewards are very valuable and simply requireparticipating in guild-related activitiessuch as siege battles, guild battles, and the Tartarus' Labyrinth to name a few options.
Rainbowmon helps youimprove the star level of your monsters, making the monsters much more powerful. Getting them to six stars is challenging, andthe guild shop allows you to purchase one five-star rainbowmonper week. In just five weeks, you’d have enough toturn a five-star monster into a six-star monster.
Without rainbowmon, leveling or summoning enough monsters to turn a five-star monster into a six-star monster would be a grueling task. Joining a guild is aliteral game-changer if you want to enhance monstersa little faster.
It’s fine to take things slowly as you begin your summoner journey. It can be fun to rush, butyou’ll often end up feeling stuck because of monster-level or inadequate runes. There’s plenty of content anda robust competitive scenethat will still be there whenever you’re ready.
