The long-rumoured Robert PattinsonBatmansuit has finally been added toBatman: Arkham Knightbut fans aren’t happy with the final product, with many noting that it looks “off”.
You’d think that the release of Batman: Arkham Knight on the Switch via the Batman: Arkham Trilogy ports would be a reason to celebrate, but so far it’s been anything but.Not only is it reportedly “unplayable” due to massive frame drops and a muddy look, but thelong-awaited suit from The Batman that has been released alongside it has a bunch of issues of its own.
Ever since The Batman suit was first leaked to be coming to the game in the future after an accidental update to the Epic Games version of Arkham: Knight, fans have pointed out that there’s something a little off about it, from its weird portrait to the dead look in Bruce Wayne’s eyes as he wears it.
Now that the suit is officially out for every version of the game, the problems have only piled up.As pointed out by Redditor AryanAngel on the Batman: Arkham subreddit, the main problem with the suit is that it looks noticeably low-resolution and unfinished compared to the other suits in the game, which is most obvious when looking at the cowl or chest of the skin.
To make matters worse, some fans have even pointed out that the official skin somehow looks a lot worse than a modmade back in 2022 that adds the suit to the game. That mod, released by Nexus Mods creator MrBinkss, does the suit a lot more justice than the version released by Rocksteady alongside the Switch version of the game, with higher-resolution textures and a better look overall.
The mod even adds eyeshadow to Bruce Wayne’s model for whenever he’s not wearing the mask, just like in The Batman movie. Talk about attention to detail.
Although it’s not entirely clear right now why The Batman suit looks so weird in comparison to the other costumes in the game, some fans have theorised that it’s because it was originally made for the Nintendo Switch version of the game and that the work hasn’t been done to properly upscale it for modern consoles. That’s not confirmed yet, but it would certainly explain why it looks so much less detailed than anything else in the game.
