Cangithyankibe hot inBaldur’s Gate 3? Well, yes, because Lae’zel is right there. But more specifically, can custom character githyanki be hot? This a topic that’s gripped the fanbase for days now, as some players say that it’s simply impossible to make a Tav gith look attractive in the slightest.
So, it comes as no surprise that many have seen this as a challenge. In Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddits, players are trying their best to make the hottest gith we’ve ever seen, proving that their unique faces and bodies don’t have to stop them from sweeping us off our feet.
Both of the main Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddits are full of hot gith Tavs, eager to prove the haters wrong. Many are particularly eager to show that male gith can be attractive too, since they seem to come under fire the most. And honestly, it’s easy to see why - that idle pose where they hold their arms out in front of them is pretty daft.
There’s a lot of effort being put into these, particularly those that can’t use mods to beautify their giths even further. The base game’s resources are much more limited, but some are still making it work.
Lady gith are getting some love too. Although, in my experience, their beauty was never up for debate. Even putting Lae’zel aside, they’re all cuties.
Of course, a few hot Tavs aren’t enough to silence the haters. Some are using this trend to dunk on the gith even further, implying they can only be good-looking if they make acertain decisiontowards the end of the game. Huge endgame spoilers for the screenshot below. You’ve been warned.
However, amidst all the fighting, I think we can all agree that the best gith to come out of this is the bard, Weird Al Githyanki.
Before you feel too bad for all the githyanki, just remember that they think our faces are weird too, so it all evens out. Lae’zel even goes as far as saying that our noses look like a mistake, taking up far too much space.
Given just how different gith are from the other races, it’s neat that Baldur’s Gate 3 lets us play as them. This wasn’t possible in the first twoBaldur’s Gategames, which hardly featured the gith at all - and when they did, we were hardly taking one along as a companion. Even ifLariandecides to add more races to the game, gith will probably always be the most alien by our standards.
