Black Friday seems to last longer every year. What was once a one-off day of sales turned into a whole weekend, then Cyber Monday was tacked to the end, and eventually, the event was stretched to a week long. Now it seems retailers and brands can’t wait to sell you stuff for less as more than a week before Black Friday, all sorts of stuff is being heavily reduced. That includes games that are only a little more than a month old likeAssassin’s Creed Mirage.
If the latest installment in theAssassin’s Creedsaga is a game that passed you by in October - understandable considering it was one of the busiest months in gaming history - then you can pick up a copy and catch up for less right now. Since Mirage is a shorter game than most others in the series, even its Deluxe Edition was less than the industry standard $70 at launch. However, thanks toAmazon’s price cut, you can currently get thePS5version of the Deluxe Edition for less than the standard version.
Only the PS5 version of Mirage’s Deluxe Edition is reduced on Amazon right now. TheXboxandPS4versions are still $59.99.
Currently $44.99 on Amazon, not only does the Deluxe Edition of Mirage naturally come with a copy of the game, but you’ll also get a digital artbook and a digital soundtrack. Best of all, the bonus content from which the Deluxe Edition pulls its name, the Deluxe Pack. Equip Basim with an outfit inspired by thePrince of Persiaseries (better preparing you forThe Lost Crownin 2024), eagle and mount skins, and additional weapons. All content you won’t get with the regular version of the game.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Assassin’s Creed Mirage puts you in the role of Valhalla’s Basim Ibn Ishaq. It explores his beginnings as part of the Brotherhood, and primarily takes place in 9th century Baghdad.
This is the lowest price the Deluxe Edition of Mirage has been available for on Amazon, and there’s no way of knowing how long the offer will be available for. It seems unlikely to be one that lasts until Black Friday, so if you are picking up as many games as possible to catch up with 2023’s massive offering over the holiday season, now is probably the best time to pick up Mirage for less.
Busy year or not, Assassin’s Creed is never a series you want to fall behind on. The gap betweenValhallaand Mirage was three years and is the longestUbisofthas ever left between releases. The wait until whatever’s next almost definitely won’t be that long. Ubisoft has already revealed it’s working on a game set in feudal Japan, another title codenamed Hexe, and Assassin’s Creed Infinity, whatever that might be. Not to mention spinoff projects like Nexus VR and Jade,a mobile game some people have already had the chance to play.
