The fifth set of Seasonal Challenges forDestiny 2’sSeason of the Wish can now be completed. For the first ten weeks of any new season, Bungie releases a weekly set of challenges that, when completed, award a large bundle of XP and Bright Dust. It’s the best way to farm for Season Pass ranks, and it gives newer players some guidance on what to play each week.
Seven challenges were added this week, most of which are simple elimination challenges that should only take a few minutes to complete. Some challenges require you to defeat opponents with Hand Cannons, eliminate bosses in seasonal content, and complete Neomuna activities.
Wishseeker V:Complete Week 5 of “Wishing All the Best.”
Reward
As with all previous Wishseeker challenges,you simply need to complete the objectives listed in “Wishing All the Best” until this challenge is complete.If you haven’t completed the previous sets in “Wishing All the Best,” you can complete all of them in a single play session.
Dreamcrusher:Defeat bosses and minibosses in Riven’s Lair or The Coil.
Dreamcrusher requires you todefeat 25 bosses and minibosses in Riven’s Lair or The Coil.We recommend farming The Coil since it features player buffs, Overcharge and Surge mechanics, and has additional encounters when compared to Riven’s Lair. Minibosses tend to spawn during each encounter, so it should only take a couple of Coil runs to finish this challenge.

Dragon’s Defender IV
Dragon’s Defender IV:Defeat targets with Hand Cannons or Submachine Guns. Gain additional progress from Guardian final blows and final blows within Riven’s Lair or The Coil.
You’ll need todefeat 125 enemies with Hand Cannons or SMGsfor this challenge. The good news is that Riven’s Lair and Coil enemies grant double progress, so you can get this finished ina single Riven’s Lair or Coil run.
As for landing those kills,use Sunshot.It deals 40% more damage to red bars because it’s an Exotic, detonates slain targets, and deals excellent damage to majors thanks to its archetype. It’s easilythe best PvE Hand Cannon this season. If you prefer SMGs, giveHuckleberryorRiskrunnera try.
Neptune Activities
Neptune Activities:In Neomuna, complete bounties, patrols, public events, and Lost Sectors.
Rewards
The description of Neptune Activities is slightly misleading.Vex Incursion and other exclusive Neomuna activities donotcount for this challenge.You’ll need to farm bounties, patrols, public events, or Lost Sectors.
We recommendfarming bounties and Lost Sectorsto get this finished quickly. Visit Nimbus, stock up on bounties, then farm your favorite Neomuna Lost Sector. Try to grab a patrol between every Lost Sector clear to further optimize your progress.
Commendation Appreciation
Commendation Appreciation:Earn progress for giving commendations in Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit activities.
Commend five players in ritual contentto complete this challenge. The commendation menu appears at the end of most activities—notably Vanguard Ops, Crucible playlists, and Gambit.
You can give out more commendations in PvP and Gambit, but Vanguard Ops is a playlist with no PvP. Pick any playlist that you enjoy, and remember to commend your team when the activity ends.
Potent Projectiles
Potent Projectiles:Defeat Guardians in Crucible or Gambit with Bows, Hand Cannons, Pulse Rifles, Auto Rifles, or Rocket Launchers. Earn bonus progress for Rocket Launcher final blows.
Potent Projectiles requires you todefeat 25 Guardians with Bows, Hand Cannons, Pulse Rifles, Auto Rifles, or Rocket Launchers.This is easiest to do in any Crucible playlist with your choice of Primary. We recommend120 RPM Hand Cannons, any Auto Rifle with Onslaught,and Exotic Bows.
Boss Battle
Boss Battle:Defeat bosses in strikes or Vanguard playlists. Bonus progress is granted for defeating bosses on Hero difficulty or higher.
The large XP payout from this challenge is due to its challenge requirement.You must defeat 20 bosses in Vanguard contentfor this challenge. Progress before this week isnotretroactive, so this will take quite some time to complete.
Our main suggestion is toeither complete Vanguard Ops weeklies or farm Nightfalls.You have until the end of the season to complete this, so you can simply wait for a double Nightfall loot week and farm Nightfall clears. If you want to get this done immediately, stick with the Vanguard Ops playlist.
