The Season One Reloaded update forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3came with a week-long event themed around The Boys TV show. Players can experiment with having superpowers of their own in an exclusive 6v6 Multiplayer game mode. If you enjoy Cranked and Kill Confirmed, this mode will be right up your alley.
Completing matches in this game mode will make progress towards some of this event’s challenges, awarding new cosmetics and valuable XP Tokens. This short guide will explain what The Boys: Supe Takedown event is, how the Supe’d Up game mode works, and showcase all seven rewards you can earn throughout this short event.
What Is The Boys: Supe Takedown Event?
The Boys: Supe Takedown is a week-long event thatruns from January 17 to January 24.This event offers exclusive cosmetic rewards, Double XP Tokens, and even a unique weapon camo. Each cosmetic is locked behind a specific challenge that can be completed in either MW3 Multiplayer or Warzone; there are no MWZ challenges.
While this event is active, an exclusive version of Kill Confirmed is available calledSupe’d Up.This game type replaces your killstreaks with superpowers that unlock as you collect dog tags from slain enemies, now called Temp V. Some of the challenges in this event require you to play this mode, so be sure to play a few games of Supe’d Up to unlock everything.
Supe’d Up Game Mode
Supe’d Up is a 6v6 variant of Kill Confirmed with custom killstreaks.When someone dies, they will drop a canister of Temp V. Grabbing the Temp V will unlock a new superpower, persisting until death.Some of these effects are passive, while the last two superpowers are active abilities.
All of your superpowers are lost on death, including one-and-done powers like Heat Vision.
There are five superpowers you may earn in this game mode:
Electric Shock
4 Temp V
Active (One Use):Releases a conal wave of electricity that acts like a Shock Stick.
Equipment is immediately destroyed, and enemy players are stuck firing their weapons for a few seconds.
Heat Vision
5 Temp V
Active (One Use):Levitate in place before channeling a powerful laser attack. You are invincible while using Heat Vision, and enemies hit by it are instantly killed.
This mode highly encourages aggressive gameplay.SMGs and perks that buff your mobility are highly recommended. The first team to collect 75 Temp V wins the match.
Event Rewards
There are seven rewards tied to the Supe Takedown event, four of which are unique cosmetics.Completing six challenges will unlock the seventh and final reward: the Death to Supes weapon camo.This is a static camo that can be applied to all MW2 and MW3 weapons.
