Ravnica Remastered is an all re-reprint set featuring cards that were released in any set that took place onMagic: The Gathering’sRavnica plane. As such, there are no brand-new cards included in the card selection. However, there are new rarities for multiple cards.
While rarities won’t matter for every format, ones with special restrictions on the card pool will be affected (namely Pauper and Artisan) by these downshifts. They also have implications on the Limited formats of Ravnica Remastered as some cards will be more common in packs at the lower rarities and harder to open at the higher rarities.
Mythic Upshifts
While most cards were downshifted to lower rarities, a select few were insteadupgraded to mythic. Some of these cards are seeing their first reprint ever, their power level being stronger than initially thought so they were brought up to mythic rather than maintaining their original rarity forLimited format purposes.

Rare Downshifts
No card was upshifted to rare in Ravnica Remasters, with onlymythics being downshifted to rare. There are eight new rares in Ravnica Remastered, the downshifts making the cards much more accessible thanks to being easier to pull out of booster packs.

Uncommon Downshifts And Downshifts
There were bothupshifts and downshifts of cards in Ravnica Remastered. The rares getting downshifted are much more accessible, and creatures getting upshifted have implications for Pauper Commander. Downshifts from rare cards impact the Artisan format where only commons and uncommon are legal to use.

The most impactful rarity shifts in Ravnica Remastered are the cards that weredownshifted to common. All of these cards arenew to the Pauper format, where only cards that were printed at the common rarity are legal.
