Ark took the idea of survival games to a whole new level, and new content is being added to this game universe all the time.Ark: Survival Ascendedis a remake of Ark: Survival Evolved, featuring a new overhaul of the graphics and better visuals overall.
The character models were updated and several planned DLCs will expand the Ark universe in whole new ways. Among all the new additions to the game are some fantastic new creatures and dinosaurs that will share the world with you.

The first two creatures, Nothosaurus and Giant Bison, are not in the game, but due to their popularity in the fan voting, it’s possible they will appear in the future. We’ve still included them here because of this possibilty.
7Unconfirmed Creatures
Nothosaurus
Having previously appeared in the Ark game series, the Nothosaurus is a fan-favorite aquatic beast that was highly voted upon by fans participating in the fan-picked creatures to be in the Center DLC.
Nothosaurus narrowly did not make it into the DLC based on votes, but this was one of the most popular options and may still make an appearance in future Ark DLC installments as a result of its popularity. Many fans clearly want to see this creature, which means it could appear at some point in the future.

Giant Bison
In the open fan voting for new creatures, the Giant Bison was a huge favorite. The fan community definitely wants to see this creature get included in an upcoming Ark DLC, which is a distinct possibility based on the large number of votes this animal received.
Should the Giant Bison be included in the game, it will serve as a useful animal for farming purposes. Bison are large and have a lot of meat, and they can defend themselves against other creatures when needed, so it is a practical animal companion.

6Dreadnoughtus
The Dreadnoughtus is part of the Extinction DLC. It is a herbivore, and it looks incredibly cool thanks to a long neck that has shades of bright blue shining through its multiple neck ridges. Its size alone is impressive, and Dreadnoughtus dominates any landscape.
Both tameable and rideable, the Dreadnoughtus is based on similar dinos from history and has a silhouette similar to the brachiosaurus, but it is clearly a ramped-up and Ark-ified version of a similar prehistoric creature.

5Fasolasuchus
Introduced in Scorched Earth, the Fasolasuchus is a carnivore and it is aggressive. This mean-looking guy is definitely a fighter and from an evolutionary standpoint, it is a clear precursor to crocodiles. It is lizard-like and scaly and it can be tamed to become a pretty useful mount.
Fasolasuchus is fast in sand and has no trouble navigating around in desert environments. Fasolasuchus has spikes down the ridge line of its back, so that even its body is dangerous. There is an acid at the bottom of each spike, just to add more danger to this already-deadly creature.

4Gigantoraptor
The Gigantoraptor has a prehistoric look to it that stands out even in the Ark universe. This creature has lots of feathers, including a plume on its head, and appears to be pretty harmless at first glance. This is a complete misconception, as this thing has fierce talons and a territorial attitude that can be incredibly dangerous.
Gigantoraptor appears first in Ragnarok and, despite its pretty feathers and colors, you should step lightly near this monster. It will attack you if you trod on its turf or get anywhere near one of its nests. It is best to attempt to tame this creature while still young, as you’re risking your life by trying to tame an adult.

3Shastasaurus
This giant reptile appears in the Center. It is tamable and it is highly aquatic, swimming easily in the water. Shatasaurus has echolocation ability, so it swims beautifully even in the dark and it is excellent at hunting its prey.
This is a tameable creature and it swims fast in water, so it is a highly practical mount when you need to cross a lake or river. Shastasaurus is fully carnivorous and has a curious nature, which can be a little disconcerting when it approaches you.

2Yi Ling
Yi Ling is available in the Aberration DLC. It is a tamable species with an omnivorous diet. Yi Ling typically travels alone, rather than in herd groups, and it is pretty large. Even so, this fierce creature can cling to walls, glide, and it’s highly agile and fast in its movements.
The Yi Ling is a good hunting mount, and it’s easy to feed because it eats almost anything. This creature has feathers, big feet with wicked claws, and a pointed beak that looks like it could do some serious damage.

1Rhyniognatha
This ancient monster looks like an enormous insect. It has an aggressive personality, an omnivorous diet, and it uses resin as a weapon. It can harden and thicken its shell when needed and spray out resin in varying degrees of hardness, depending on the type of attack it is performing.
Rhyniognatha can be tamed but it’s a lengthy process that involves harvesting pheromones and raising up a baby from an egg. Once tamed, it does make a pretty great companion, so it is worth the lengthy process involved to be able to add this creature to your collection of animal friends.
