Save The World

This mode was thecore vision that Fortnite was founded on, allowing players tobuild extravagant bases and defensive areaswith traps to fight off the impending Storm and its monsters. This served as our first interaction with the building mechanics but wasn’t as well received as later modes.

Once you’re at a high enough level or paired with someone who is,Save The World is a great way to earn Battle Pass XPby building higher-level traps and shelters that allow you todefend passively.

Battle Royale And Zero Build

While it originally started simple, in map and mechanics, Battle Royale has seen the most updates, with new features and items being added withevery biweekly content update. After adding arange of movement options like sprinting and sliding, Epic created a version of Battle Royalewithout the core building mechanic, calledZero Build.

Zero Build is a carbon copy of the core game mode but without the ability to build yourself out of trouble. Instead, itrelies much more on gunplayand quick thinkingby using the environment that the developers provided you with. When launched, it was met withimmense popularity and brought back playerswho’d become desensitized to the building.

Players can earnunique cosmetic rewardsfrom playingRanked mode, which can be toggled from the main lobby screen when either mode is selected.
