Summary

Hideo Kojimais a very busy guy right now. The iconic video game developershowed up with Jordan Peele at The Game Awards to reveal new project OD, and work is presumably ongoing on Death Stranding 2. Kojima somehow has time between those two massive projects to continue work on theDeath Strandingmovie adaptation, and it has now been confirmed that acclaimed studio A24 is helping him out on that project.

The reveal that A24 is involved with the Death Stranding movie arrived in a far more subtle way than emerging from a prop door with a famous director on a big stage. A24 broke the news by adding Death Stranding t-shirt to its online store, first spotted byWario64. A black tee sporting the A24 logo, but the lettering has been designed to look like the font Death Stranding is written in on the game’s cover. You can buy the t-shirt right now for $40 through the link below.

Simply throwing that shirt up on its site would have been confirmation enough that A24 and Kojima are working together on the Death Stranding adaptation. However, for those still doubting the team-up, the product’s description officially confirms the news.

It’s official: we’ve partnered with Kojima Productions on the live-action feature film adaptation of Hideo Kojima’s acclaimed video game, Death Stranding.

A24 confirmed it has partnered with Kojima Productions on the Death Stranding movie adaptation by launching this t-shirt celebrating the team-up. The black tee has the studio’s name in Death Stranding’s familiar font.

Other than Kojima confirming he is heavily involved in putting the movie together, and now that A24 will be helping too, very little is known about the Death Stranding movie. We don’t even know if Norman Reedus and other actors from the game will be reprising their roles for the adaptation. A24 being attached is a very big deal, though. Responsible for movies like The Iron Claw, The Whale, and Best Picture Winner Everything Everywhere All At Once, the adaptation is in very good hands.

As noted, Kojima is incredibly busy right now. Attention has shifted from Death Stranding and its sequel to OD since last week with some watching the new trailer so closely thatthey think they’ve found a Silent Hill easter egginside one of the actor’s mouths.
