Summary
There are a lot ofStar Warsgames. The Star Wars franchise is one that continues to grow and expand, and as it does so, there are increasingly more characters, locations, and stories to tell in its fictional universe. With so many iterations across so many different media, there are bound to be titles that fall through the cracks or skip the gamer’s radar.
Unfortunately, Star Wars video games have been limited, with many of them coming from EA Games. Prior to EA acquiring the license, however, there were many, many Star Wars games. A large portion of these Star Wars games have been forgotten about as time has progressed.

8Star Wars Episode 1: Battle For Naboo
Spiritual successor to a classic title
Star Wars Episode 1 had many video game spinoffs and adaptations. One of the lesser-known ones was Battle For Naboo, which was a spiritual successor to the classic, Rogue Squadron games. In it, you engage in land, air, and water combat, set during the events of the movie.
The game launched on theNintendo 64and received positive reviews. It was compared to Rogue Squadron positively, although many disliked its close connection to the divisive movie it’s based upon. A buggy PC port was also launched at a later point.

7Star Wars Episode 1: Obi-Wans’ Adventures
Relive the movie through Obi-Wan’s perspective
Before the exclusive deal withEA,LucasArtshad a similar pact with the now-defunct THQ. The deal allowed THQ to make Star Wars games for theGame Boy Color, and one of those titles was Star Wars Episode 1: Obi-Wan’s Adventures, recounting the events of the movie from Obi-Wan’s viewpoint.
It’s an isometric action-adventure game in which you play as Obi-Wan, battling droids with his lightsaber, a blaster, and the Force. The game was criticized for its visuals but praised for its game design. It did not go down as one of the better Episode 1 video games.

6Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Not to be confused with the show of the same name
Before theanimated TV showexisted, there was an unrelated Star Wars: The Clone Wars video game. You controlled vehicles and starships from the Clone Wars era and even got to battle on foot as Anakin Skywalker and Mace Windu. It was an action game and in certain regards, a predecessor toStar Wars: Battlefront.
Some of the voice actors from the TV show Star Wars: Clone Wars also reprised their roles in the video game, lending it some sort of canonical continuity. The game garnered decent reviews, and while it has been mostly forgotten about, its legacy is not to be underestimated.

5Star Wars: New Droid Army
One of the most forgotten games from the prequel trilogy era
In Star Wars: New Droid Army, you play as Anakin Skywalker prior to his fall to the dark side in Revenge of the Sith. This is an isometric action game for theGame Boy Advance, and it was met with a mixed reception upon its launch.
Many of the reviews cited its loose canonical connection to the movies, as well as its dated visuals and gameplay mechanics. New Droid Army might not be a bad game, but it has since gone down as one of the many forgotten games set within the prequel trilogy of movies.

4Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Republic Heroes
An actual spin-off from the show of the same name
The popular Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV show had a couple of video game spinoffs, all of which have mostly been forgotten about. Perhaps the most notable is Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Republic Heroes, an action-adventure game in which you play as the heroes of The Clone Wars, battling the droids and villains like Cad Bane.
One of the main reasons this game was forgotten about was because it was bad. The game suffered from bugs and glitches, its gameplay wasn’t all that interesting, and in comparison to the TV Show it was based upon, the story was disliked by many, too.

Star Wars team racing anyone?
There are instances in the history of video game development where certain developers follow the trends of the times. For example, when Battle Royale became popular, many developers jumped at the opportunity to cash in on it. In many ways, Super Bombad Racing is Star Wars’ attempt to mimic the Mario Kart video games.
The game has you racing and combating your way through a variety of courses, with or without friends. Characters have a stylized look to them, with large heads and exaggerated faces. It was not well-liked, and it did not sell well either.

2Star Wars: Lethal Alliance
The forgotten handheld era title
A third-person action game set between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, Star Wars: Lethal Alliance was aPSPandNintendo DSgame. You played Rianna, a mercenary accompanied by her droid Zeeo. Gameplay mostly consisted of platforming and shooting.
Released on the two handheld devices, the game was significantly different on both. On the PSP console, stealth was a possibility, with takedowns and disguises featured as mechanics. At the same time, the DS version had an exclusive weapon. The game garnered mixed reviews, many citing better action-adventure games available at the time.

1Star Wars: Hunters
Does it even exist?
Set to be aNintendo Switchand mobile exclusive, Star Wars: Hunters is a player vs player arena shooter, and it’s free to play. Or it would be if it ever came out. The game was originally revealed in 2021, with a release date targeted for that same year.
Gameplay and footage from it have since been shown to the public, but no firm release date has yet to be set. The game did see a small launch in certain regions in 2022, but the full-scale release has yet to happen. A novel tie-in was also made to coincide with the game.
